Rainey’s journey with horses began as part of her equine therapy — a way to connect, heal, and grow through the gentle strength of these incredible animals. What started as a personal path toward confidence and healing soon evolved into a mission to give that same care and compassion back to animals in need.

What started as a personal path toward confidence and healing soon evolved into a mission to give that same care and compassion back to animals in need.
In 2020, her dream became reality with the founding of Pride and Joy Rescue, a sanctuary devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses and other farm animals.
Rainey plays an active role in the daily care of the animals — feeding the horses, dogs, cats, and chickens, filling water troughs, and cleaning stalls. Her dedication and hands-on commitment embody the heart of the rescue: that every animal deserves love, safety, and a second chance.
Her compassion continues to inspire the entire Pride and Joy Rescue team, reminding everyone that healing flows both ways — from people to animals, and from animals back to people.
