Our Team

Connie is the director of the ranch, tirelessly working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. As director, she handles all the administrative tasks - the paperwork, scheduling, and coordination that are so vital yet often overlooked, as well as property work, and chores. Connie tracks all the horses weight, training and schedules. 

Connie pours her whole self into this organization, doing whatever needs to be done with little fanfare or acclaim. Her compassion and dedication shine through in the care she provides each person who comes to the ranch seeking support. We're grateful for Connie's selfless efforts and instrumental role in creating a welcoming, uplifting environment for all.

 Rob is a dedicated caretaker who tirelessly tends to the ranch's many needs. He handles property maintenance, hay transportation, daily chores, and provides medical care to the horses. Working closely with Connie, Rob also manages the financial and administrative side of the ranch operations. His selfless commitment and wide-ranging skills keep the ranch running smoothly. Though the work is demanding, Rob carries out his duties with compassion. His efforts are greatly appreciated. 

 Rainey's compassion and perseverance are the driving forces behind this remarkable rescue effort. Though faced with disabilities, she has channeled her own experiences into empathy for others who may be struggling. With the encouragement of caring adults, Rainey has helped build this ranch to create opportunities for those who need them most. While she may not be the greatest cowgirl, what matters is that she tries - with patience, respect and responsibility. Rainey is an inspiration, overcoming challenges with an open heart. Her selfless service and commitment to helping others demonstrate incredible inner strength. We are proud to support this young woman as she lives out her mission to give back. 

 Ashlee has stepped up to take on a crucial role at the ranch, working closely with Rob and Connie to provide compassionate care for the horses. She ensures the animals are fed proper nutrition to support their health and wellbeing. Ashlee's dedication is evident in the long hours she puts in handling chores, maintaining the property, and organizing events. Her hard work and commitment demonstrate how deeply she cares for the horses under her care. It's clear Ashlee feels a profound sense of responsibility to provide the animals with the empathy, sympathy and support they need to thrive. Her conscientious efforts are vital to the ranch and no doubt mean a great deal to the horses too. 

 Ashlee found an invaluable partner in Nick, who has become her stalwart companion and confidant. When she opened her heart to share her ardent dedication to the ranch, he was moved to embrace her vision as his own. Now Nick lends his time and sweat to the daily chores - driving the tractor to distribute hay, and tending to the animals with the gentle care of one who understands their needs. His selfless support speaks to his deep compassion and willingness to walk this path by Ashlee's side. 

Cassie serves as our house trainer and instructor, playing a crucial role in the success of our rescue. Her passion for helping horses and students shine through in her dedicated work. You can see the joy on her face when her students reach a goal, taking as much pride in their accomplishments as her own. Cassie wholeheartedly gives her time and care to support the horses and people here. Her compassion is an inspiration to us all, and we are tremendously grateful for her commitment to this organization.

     Ryan brings a wealth of experience and skills to our volunteer rescue team. With compassion and dedication, he works side-by-side with our volunteers, assisting with heavy equipment and providing valued guidance as a board member. Ryan's training background enables him to effectively support our operations, and he partners with Rob in the critical work of ranch maintenance. We are grateful for Ryan's commitment to our mission and the care he demonstrates through his service. His contributions bolster our capacity to help animals in need. 

 Kristen and Alex are embarking on a new chapter in their lives. They were brought together through Kristin's dedication to helping children in need. With a heart for service, Kristen generously volunteers her time to assist Connie with social media and fundraising efforts. Young Alex is an aspiring cowgirl, eager to gain knowledge and skills. We commend these two for their selfless spirits and commitment to supporting important causes. Though they face challenges, with compassion and community we can empower them to realize their dreams. 

 Tyler brings so much value to our rescue through his work operating heavy machinery. He generously volunteers his time to keep our pastures neatly mowed and our grounds clear after snowstorms. Tyler has also been a huge help with the less glamorous but very necessary task of manure removal. We're incredibly grateful for all he contributes to keep our rescue running smoothly. Though his mechanical skills are a tremendous asset, what's most meaningful is Tyler's caring heart. He truly enjoys spending time with our horses, and we can see his bond with them growing as he learns more about their unique personalities. We're thankful to have someone like Tyler who cares deeply for our horses' wellbeing. His reliable help and compassion are invaluable to us in our mission. 

The caring women at Brassy Bit ensure our horses' wellbeing with personalized saddle fittings, diligent bit maintenance, and unparalleled expertise on how saddles impact equine health and ability. Their compassion shines through in their devotion to all equestrian disciplines, stellar customer service, and heartfelt passion for horses. We're so grateful to have found partners who treat our beloved animals with such empathy, professionalism and tender loving care.  Knowledge in all disciplines, great customer service and passion is hard to find.

    Cyniah has been with us for several months now and has fully immersed herself in the responsibilities of caring for the horses. Her dedication and compassion for the animals is evident in the enthusiasm she brings to her chores each day. Cyniah's love of animals shines through in the care and attention she provides. We deeply appreciate her commitment to the wellbeing of the horses and are inspired by her eagerness to learn and grow in this role. It is a joy to have someone so devoted join our team. We will continue to provide Cyniah with support and guidance as she develops her skills, and have no doubt she has a bright future ahead.

 Tru and Jemma are a great addition to the rescue.  This sister pair  started helping with feeding and watering. They have moved onto learning horse care and training.   While working on chores and the horses they are strengthen their bond as sisters.

 Nick has been with us close to a year.  He is the advisor for the Jr. Board, leading our youth into the understanding of the inner works of the rescue. He also rolls up his sleeves and helps in all areas of the rescue from fences to feeding / care.
